Ferncroft Wildlife Rescue has been voted a finalist Best of Eastern Connecticut: Non-Profit / Charity Organization!
We cannot thank YOU enough for your votes, your encouragement and your support.
This is a community effort and each of you play a role in saving, healing and educating others about our wildlife. We honestly could not do this without you. You truly are the “wind beneath our wings”.
I echo Sherry Harts sentiments and congratulate the other finalists, each of whom dedicate themselves to caring for animals. This speaks volumes about our community. We are doing this together. We are making a difference. I am grateful and honored to be part of this community.

We get a lot of questions about our educational ambassadors. **They are not pets**. In CT it is illegal for anyone to keep wildlife ... including rehabbers. A Fed.USDA permit and State approval are required.
**Caging must meet USDA regulations/specifications.
**Annual Inspections of caging, property, and records are conducted by USDA
**Veterinarian Inspections and Health Certificates signed annually by a veterinarian for each animal. Liability insurance is required to do public programs.
Ferncroft takes our responsibility seriously and use extraordinary care to protect our animals. Before agreeing to any requests we take into account the venue, the safety and the educational value of these requests.
